Deep Purple has postponed some performances following Ian Gillan's hospitalization due to a medical emergency, while also releasing a new live video for 'Splat!' and promoting a tribute album titled 'Purple Storm – A Tribute To Deep Purple,' which features the single 'Perfect Stranger.' Meanwhile, former members Glenn Hughes and Ritchie Blackmore are in the spotlight, with Hughes recovering from open-heart surgery and Blackmore expressing his dislike for one of the band's overlooked albums, as Gillan continues to reject the 'heavy metal' label for the group.
