Modest Mouse has recently faced internal changes following the departure of guitarist Simon O'Connor from their tour amid allegations of inappropriate messages to a minor, which O'Connor has denied. The band continued performing, including a notable show at New York's Rooftop at Pier 17, and contributed to a Neil Young tribute album alongside My Morning Jacket and other artists. Meanwhile, frontman Isaac Brock was celebrated on his birthday, and band member Lisa Molinaro released a new single.
