Saxon is preparing for the release of their 25th studio album, Gods Of Thunder, scheduled for January 2027, following a series of announcements about the record and a forthcoming UK and Ireland tour in February 2027. The band, led by Biff Byford and Brian Tatler, continues to tour and record despite health considerations and commitments to other projects, including an acoustic tour by founding guitarist Paul Quinn. Their renewed prominence in the metal scene is highlighted by festival appearances and growing international popularity.
