Alternative dance releases, week 44

This week in alternative dance, new releases and reissues highlight a blend of legacy acts and forward-thinking collaborations. From Everything But The Girl’s 'Blue Reservoir' and Nouvelle Vague’s Depeche Mode reinterpretation to Confidence Man and Spriitzz’s trance-infused 'Higher', the genre continues to evolve. Robert Del Naja’s curatorial work on the Gaza documentary soundtrack and The Prodigy’s tech-driven earphone launch reflect the expanding intersections of music and innovation. Meanwhile, archival releases from Coil, Björk, and Beck, alongside reissues of classic tracks, underscore a deepening engagement with sonic history.
