Alternative r&b releases, week 41

This week in alternative R&B, major releases and collaborations take center stage, from Taylor Swift's 'Patient Zero' claiming the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 to Drake and Don Toliver's 'Solar Eclipse' projected for a strong debut. Victoria Monét launches her long-awaited album 'Frequency of Love' alongside a North American tour, while Chappell Roan announces benefit shows featuring Tinashe, Lola Young, Muna, and Caroline Polachek. New tracks from Sollos, SG Lewis and Loods, Jam City, and Ayra Starr and Zayn further expand the genre's sonic landscape, with standout moments including Thundercat's Sonic-themed release and Joy Crookes' 28th birthday reflection on her unfiltered soul journey.
