Overview
Recent developments in the boom bap genre include Wu-Tang Clan headlining the Detroit Lions' Thanksgiving Day halftime show, Nas crediting Kurtis Blow for inspiration behind his classic track, and new releases from artists like Kinkazan, Votte Hall, and doseone, Fatboi Sharif, and steel tipped dove. Meanwhile, discussions around lyrical authenticity continue with De La Soul reflecting on their approach, while controversies involving Kid Rock's AI-assisted Eminem collaboration and N.O.R.E.'s response to criticism over racial language have sparked broader conversation.
