The Celtic rock scene sees multiple milestones and tributes, including K.K. Downing's 75th birthday celebrated by prominent rock figures, the 35th anniversary of Levellers' 'Levelling The Land' marked by reissues and live reviews, and ongoing recognition of legacy acts like The Pogues and Thin Lizzy through reissues and retrospectives. Meanwhile, contemporary artists such as Matmatah and young drum prodigies continue to engage with the genre's themes, while live performances by The Waterboys and Dexys Midnight Runners highlight enduring relevance. Kevin Rowland's criticism of 'Come on Eileen' being used at a political event underscores the cultural weight of Celtic rock anthems.
