Contemporary r&b releases, week 41

This week in contemporary R&B, major releases and announcements highlight a blend of artistic reinvention and genre-crossing collaborations. Artists such as Miley Cyrus, Don Toliver, and Troye Sivan continue to shape the landscape with new music and reflections on their creative journeys. Meanwhile, unexpected developments, including in-game radio stations featuring Lana Del Rey and Bad Bunny, and a new AI-driven album from Grimes, point to evolving intersections between music, technology, and storytelling. The week also brings attention to legacy acts like Prince and Anita Baker, whose unreleased works and enduring influence remain central to the genre’s evolution.
