Smooth soul releases, week 41

This week's smooth soul highlights include Amerie's collaboration with 2Rare on 'BussDown (1 Thing)', a reimagined take on a classic. New releases also feature Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr. revisiting a Bill Withers standard, while archival moments spotlight rare collaborations between The Isley Brothers, Earth Wind & Fire, and El DeBarge. Historical reflections mark significant dates from 1980 and 1982, including Earth Wind & Fire's 'Faces' and Lionel Richie's solo debut. These releases and retrospectives underscore enduring influences in the genre.
