Synth-pop releases, week 44

This week in synth-pop, notable releases and announcements include Chvrches' new single 'Overthinker' ahead of their album 'All The King's Men,' Nouvelle Vague's reimagining of Depeche Mode, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's exploration of new sonic territory on 'Alien Metal.' Magdalena Bay premieres their 'Imaginal Disk' visual album in Toronto, while Adam Young releases his debut album under Another Life. The genre also sees retrospectives with the 40th anniversary of Clan of Xymox’s 'Medusa' and the rediscovery of a lost Daft Punk mix from 1997.
