Trip hop releases, week 39

This week in trip hop, new releases and reissues highlight both legacy and evolution in the genre. Taylor Swift expands her narrative with 'The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore,' while Madonna and Charli XCX explore nocturnal dance energy in 'Danceteria Afterhours.' Beck unveils the album 'Ride Lonesome,' and Tomora introduce their 'Celebration' EP alongside a European tour. Reissues from Boards of Canada and Gorillaz, alongside new work from The Actions, The Bug and Friday Night Plans, and the documentary on HELICON, underscore the genre’s enduring influence.
