Lefty Gunplay has faced legal and personal challenges, including an arrest in Missouri on an assault charge and a past Corvette crash that prompted his decision to get sober, which he confirmed by reaching out to Kendrick Lamar. Despite these struggles, he continues to release music, such as the track 'Just Another Day.'
