Savatage is experiencing a resurgence with recent performances at Wacken Open Air and a notable show with an orchestra in Pompeii, where Chris Caffery reflected on the overwhelming experience. The band's upcoming studio album will blend diverse musical influences, while Johnny Lee Middleton confirmed plans for potential U.S. shows in 2027 and announced that footage from the Pompeii concert will be released. Meanwhile, founding bassist Keith Collins is facing dementia, and the band has reissued live material from 1990, including a video of 'Gutter Ballet' and a remastered version of 'Madness Reigns From The Gutter'.
