Weezer has announced their upcoming album 'The Black Album,' following the release of 'The Gold Album,' which serves as a reimagined version of their 2005 self-titled record. The band is also touring in support of these releases with 'The Gathering' tour, featuring live rarities and debut performances. Despite early perceptions as outsiders, Weezer has gained lasting recognition, reflecting on their evolution from high school prog metal roots to a respected presence in rock music.
