XTC celebrates the 40th anniversary of their album 'Skylarking' amid a wave of tributes, including a solo EP from Colin Moulding, birthday acknowledgments for Dave Gregory and Barry Andrews, and a rare live performance of 'Melt the Guns' by Phish, marking the first since 1987. The band's innovative fusion of punk and progressive rock, dubbed 'prunk,' continues to influence new generations, as evidenced by a newly unveiled sculpture honoring XTC in their hometown of Swindon.
