Alternative r&b releases, week 36

This week in alternative R&B, new projects from Miley Cyrus and Kelela highlight a blend of genre experimentation and emotional depth, while collaborations between artists like Logic1000 and Christine and the Queens, and Dahi with Kendrick Lamar and Amber Mark, underscore the genre's evolving sonic landscape. Ella Langley continues her chart dominance, and SZA's winter tease adds anticipation to the season's upcoming releases. Meanwhile, reimaginings of past works by Oklou, Blood Orange, and Mustafa, alongside Tara Lily’s new single and Arlo Parks’ introspective reflection, point to a moment of creative reinvention and introspection across the scene.
