Americana releases, week 36

This week in Americana, new albums from The Jayhawks, David Allan Coe, and Miko Marks mark significant artistic milestones, while Westside Cowboy and Rayland Baxter return after extended breaks. Miley Cyrus and Zach Bryan explore personal narratives through music, with Bryan collaborating with Jason Isbell and recording with his grandmother. Meanwhile, reissues and retrospectives highlight enduring legacies, from Janis Joplin’s iconic Kris Kristofferson cover to the influence of Buffalo Springfield on contemporary acts. The genre continues to evolve through genre-blending projects and intimate storytelling.
