Electro releases, week 42
· 19 releases
This week in electro, major collaborations and reimaginings take center stage, from Justice’s original score for Grand Theft Auto VI featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard to Skrillex and Ring Noord’s remix of Danny L Harle’s 'Starlight' with PinkPantheress. New projects emerge with Bibio & Dorian Concept’s 'Answers', Horskh’s 'MTNT', and Les Tambours Du Bronx’s 'Distropy' EP, while archival releases and retrospectives highlight milestones like M83’s 'Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming' and LCD Soundsystem’s '45:33' turning 15 and 20 years old. DOWNTERRA revisits Skrillex’s 'Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites', and new live spaces like Altar in London signal continued growth in the scene. Meanwhile, experimental and nostalgic threads run through releases such as M83’s 'I Wrote You A Letter' and Carpenter Brut’s upcoming album with Nine Inch Nails connections.
