Releases of the week

New wave releases, week 38

September 14 to September 20, 2026 · 30 releases

This week's new wave releases highlight a blend of archival discoveries, reissues, and fresh creative ventures. From David Bowie's early recordings to Alan Vega's 1980 live performance, the genre's legacy continues to unfold. New singles from Skepta, Troye Sivan, and hemlocke springs, alongside announcements from The Cure, Pet Shop Boys, and Pure Obsessions & Red Nights, reflect both continuity and evolution. Meanwhile, retrospectives on bands like Echo & The Bunnymen, Les Slits, and Talking Heads underscore the enduring influence of post-punk and new wave pioneers.
