New wave releases, week 39

This week in new wave, a mix of retrospectives and fresh releases highlights the genre's enduring influence. New music from Blondshell, Boy Harsher, and Ministry signals continued innovation, while reissues and live recordings from Depeche Mode, Gang of Four, and The Selecter underscore its legacy. Collaborations like Madonna and Charli XCX’s 'Danceteria Afterhours' and Toyah’s spirited cover of the MC5’s 'Kick Out The Jams' reflect the genre’s cross-generational resonance. Meanwhile, archival releases and anniversary tributes celebrate milestones from iconic albums to long-lost BBC recordings.
