Overview
Recent developments in the post-bop genre highlight tributes to influential figures such as Jimmy Heath, who would have turned 100, and Ernie Watts, celebrating his 81st birthday, alongside new recordings like Ivo Perelman and Matt Shipp's Duologues 7 and the Avishai Cohen trio's latest work. Performances by artists including Joey DeFrancesco, Alexis Cole, Mark Isham, and François Lindemann continue to expand the genre's expressive range, while events in Bischwiller and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines showcase emerging and established voices in contemporary jazz.
