R&b releases, week 41

This week's R&B landscape features a mix of high-profile collaborations, long-awaited album drops, and revelations from established and emerging artists. New projects from Victoria Monét, Danielle Ponder, and Sampa the Great highlight the genre's evolving sound, while reissues and archival releases from Prince and Elton John offer fresh perspectives on classic work. Performances by Playboi Carti and Don Toliver, alongside chart-topping projections for Drake and Taylor Swift, underscore the genre's continued influence across pop and hip-hop. Additional highlights include new music from ALA.NI, Gayance, and a curated selection of African tracks spotlighting artists like FOLA and Bokani Dyer Trio.
