A posthumous album titled The Final Painting by late cult songwriter Ed Askew has been announced, featuring collaborations with artists such as Bill Callahan and Sharon Van Etten. The release coincides with an exhibition of Askew's artwork, including pieces like 'Tough Guys' and 'Boy with a Hat', and highlights his distinctive psych-folk style described as evoking 'sheets of diamond ice'.
