The Smashing Pumpkins are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness with a global tour, including a performance with an orchestra at London's Royal Festival Hall and a special show at Paris's La Salle Pleyel in September 2026. The band has also seen collaborations with artists like Olivia Rodrigo and Yungblud during a surprise appearance at Lollapalooza 2026, while covers of their songs by Brass Against and Carpenter Brut highlight ongoing cultural influence. Meanwhile, music manager Peter Katsis, who worked with the band, has passed away at 69, and members of the band have been honored at the upcoming She Rocks Awards.
