Type O Negative continues to gain renewed attention posthumously, with a live album set for release in early 2027 and their 1996 album October Rust marking its anniversary, while new covers and releases from related acts like Silvertomb and Heavy Temple highlight the band's enduring influence in the goth metal scene.
