Folk releases, week 44

This week's folk-focused releases highlight a blend of live recordings, reimagined classics, and new artistic explorations. Notable entries include Phoebe Bridgers' Tidal-exclusive live EP from Madison Square Garden, Glen Hansard's posthumous cover of The Pogues' 'Bottle of Smoke,' and Bess Atwell's upcoming album Cut A Figure, inspired by a move to Canada. Other highlights feature reinterpretations of enduring songs by Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell, alongside new work from This Is The Kit, Sheherazaad, and Myrkur. The week also includes a reissue of a classic concert and a new single from Peter Gabriel, reflecting a broad spectrum of voices within the genre.
